![]() ![]() They aren’t funny, they don’t move the story forward and they don’t develop any of the characters. Though I read the more ‘family-friendly’ version available on Steam, I can’t imagine having naughty scenes added would add much context to these strangely placed lines. The other issue is that there are very misplaced perverted lines that seem shoehorned in merely as fan service. In fact, the story is extremely linear once you make your choice of love interest. The most prominent issue is that, with the concept of time travel and changing decisions being the underlying theme of the story, there aren’t any points during the story that you are given the opportunity to make branching decisions outside of choosing routes for whichever character you are planning on wooing. This leads to the two biggest flaws of the visual novel for me. As I said, it’s a romance, plain and simple. After a failed confession, Rei decides to help Miu confess once again. When it boils down to it, this is a visual novel about a guy at school who has never had a girlfriend, and is trying to find love. He returns back and dashes to the rooftops only to find his friend Ishida Shuuji in the process of being confessed to by Suzuki Miu, a first-year student who is very timid and gets flustered easily around men. One day after school he sees a girl fall from the rooftops and instantly break the watch. She is the God of Time who lives inside the watch. ![]() ![]() He awakens moments after being hit and a mysterious looking girl who goes by the name Chronus appears before him. He first discovers his watch holds this ability after being involved in a car accident, his watch is broken in the process and activates. The watch, once broken, will active and turn back time. The watch has it's limitations however, only being able to travel back in time 5 minutes once per hour. The story follows Sawatari Rei, a person who can travel back in time by using a watch he recieved from his grandfather. A localization for the game was announced by Sekai Project at the 2015 Anime Expo. The game was released in Japan on April 24, 2015. Chrono Clock is a visual novel developed by Purple Software for the PC. ![]()
